Wish Dish: Baking class

Join us on Saturday, July 18th at 5pm EST for a virtual baking class hosted by Colin Asuncion, Toronto’s beloved finalist from Season 3 of The Great Canadian Baking Show (CBC, Netflix Canada).

Follow the Rising Stars (@maw_risingstars) or Colin Asuncion (@colinasuncion) on Instagram to join our Instagram Live baking class on July 18th at 5pm EST. The ingredients list will also be shared on our social media accounts.

We will be learning to bake a red carpet desert inspired by Olivia’s wish to be famous! There will be prizes for attendees, and a live interview with Olivia. Attendance is free but donations are encouraged via our fundraising page.

More About Colin Ascuncion

Colin Asuncion is Toronto’s beloved finalist from Season 3 of The Great Canadian Baking Show (CBC, Netflix Canada). In addition to his work in the kitchen, Colin is a seasoned performer and theatre artist.

He recently performed alongside Jully Black and Divine Brown at Koerner Hall (UnCovered, Musical Stage Company) and in the play Box 4901 at Buddies in Bad Times Theatre.

Colin was also a guest commentator on the final season of MTV Canada’s The After Show hosted by Dan Levy and Jessi Cruikshank. His original music is available on Spotify, Apple Music, Google Play, and Amazon Music.

More About Wish Ambassador Olivia

After battling cancer in her kidneys, Olivia found empowerment through her wish to be famous.

Olivia’s wish was granted with a signature dance move #DoTheLivi, developed in collaboration with Canadian choreographer Blake McGrath. The resulting video went viral, with over 64 million impressions.

We’re excited to share her story during our #WishDish series and raise donations to grant wishes for more kids like her.
